There is one way to piss a lot of people off.  You can do it by leaving an anonymous voicemail message on their cell phone, and add in a little threatening menace, too.  George Clooney got one such message and he is hopping mad.  The message supposedly said he needed to dump his trashy girlfriend Sarah Larson.  No word if it ended in…”or else.”

Clooney was mad enough that he called the cops and reported it.  No word on who the caller was.  Brad Pitt, I hope you weren’t joking around!

 It seems George Clooney has popped the question to Sarah Larson.  MarieClaire is claiming the two are already engaged and planning a wedding.  No confirmation from his rep, but tongues are a wagging.  Sarah was the first gal he ever took in a public place such as the Red Carpet at the Oscars last month.  We’ll see if this is true or not…then offer our congratulations!

Even though her mouth can seem larger than life, Rosie O’Donnell does have a sweet side.  As in, what she looks like and likes to eat.  The former Queen of Talk has been immortalized in food now, by mosaic artist Jason Mecier.  Ding Dongs, chocolate covered donuts, crackers, chips and marshmallows all went in to the portrait, looking good enough to, well, eat!  A few weeks ago it was George Clooney…and he looked scrumptious too!

The Jelly Belly company has commissioned a portrait of George Clooney made entirely out of various gourmet Jelly Bellies. Never has Mr. Clooney looked so tasty (if you fancy him, you may beg to differ, but I don’t swing that way). Over 10,000 beans were used to replicate Clooney’s Oscar-nominated mug. Well, not really. But he has been named the U.N.’s latest “peace messenger,” a title which sounds like it should involve a lot more than just being a spokesperson for the U.N.’s peacekeeping operations. He ought to have a cape, at least. Clooney’s the ninth official U.N. peace envoy, joining an eclectic group that includes Michael Douglas, Holocaust memoirist Elie Wiesel, and cellist Yo-yo Ma. We can only hope they all get together for a wacky buddy comedy once the writer’s strike is over.

Clooney has a pretty solid history of helping out humanitarian organizations, so we can hope that his time with the U.N. will be productive. I mean, he’s pretty much Bono without the messiah complex.

George Clooney was all smiles at the 2008 Critics’ Choice Awards. He was there presenting Joel Siegel award which honors an actor’s work on and off screen for the betterment of humanity. The winner of the award was fellow ‘Ocean’s Thirteen’ co-star Don Cheadle. Clooney is 46 this year, but he still has the confident swagger. Check out the rest of the pictures of his evening below.

George Clooney, back in his high school days, was really into sports. He was especially into football, but his high school, Augusta High, only offered basketball and baseball. He became good enough in one of the sports, in fact, that he went on to try out for a professional sports team. What team do you think he tried out for and for which sport?
